M. from Texas, 31 years old
I Suffered from severe acne, and was looking for a treatment for my acne scarring.
Went through series of different treatments, which included both topicals and device based.
Started a series of Photofractional treatments (IPL + ResurFX) with Dr. Peterson. The treatment is not totally uncomfortable. You need to get used to it. IPL feels warm on the skin and brightness through the eye shields. With ResurFX you can feel the heat under the skin, not only on the surface.
2 weeks after the treatment the skin already looks fantastic. People complement my skin saying my skin is so smooth. I can feel decrease in oil production, and improvement in pores.
The treatment can help reduce pore size, treat wrinkles, decrease oil production, and help with the acne scarring.
FemTouch Patient

FemTouch Patient
Would not have expected such a comfortable procedure.

Most Definitely Worth It!! I am 46 years young, and have four children. While I have always tried to take care of myself physically (doing yoga, eating healthy, staying out of the sun, following a religious skincare regiment, etc.), there really IS only so much one can do when it comes to “feminine maintenance.” Yes ladies, you should keep on doing your Kegel exercises faithfully, because they do help; but you’re kidding yourself if you think that’s enough. I began to notice a difference “down there” about ten years ago. Because I’ve been faithful with my Kegels, what I noticed first and foremost was a change in the external appearance–and I wasn’t a bit happy with what I was seeing. I suspect that many women don’t pay attention–or stop noticing–until that one fine day when you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, or when shaving, or when getting out of the shower…and by then gravity, time, childbirth, and aging have gotten the better of you. (Perhaps if we wore our genitalia on our faces, we’d notice sooner.) At that time, I briefly looked into vaginal rejuvenation, but I did not like the idea of having surgery. It wasn’t until recently that I found out about vaginal rejuvenation using lasers. When I discovered that it was possible to rejuvenate this area both internally AND externally with a quick procedure, I knew I had to try it. I inquired about the procedure with my physician, Dr. Ramtin Kassir. I was already a long time client and was extremely pleased with other services he performed for me (various fillers and Dysport.) I was advised that he offers the FemTouch (Lumenis) Vaginal Rejuvenation procedure, and that most people needed 2-3 treatments in order to see results. I underwent the procedure two weeks ago. The internal portion of the procedure was quick, painless, and very similar to what you would experience during a pap smear exam. The OB/GYN who performs the procedure in his office is friendly, personable, and takes the time to explain every piece of equipment and what she’s going to do every step of the way, in order to minimize any concerns or awkwardness. A device very similar to a speculum is inserted up to the point of the cervix, and then is slowly retracted. That’s it. A slight pulsating sensation is felt throughout, but it is absolutely painless. Dr. Kassir performed the external portion of the procedure, using the same laser technology but with a different instrument. A topical anesthetic is needed for this part of the procedure. I was told that I would not notice any appreciable change for at least 4-6 weeks. But objectively speaking, that was incorrect in my case. I noticed an immediate difference to the external appearance–the very same night–and that has continued to improve each day. Internally, there has already been a noticeable improvement in laxity, and what I’d refer to (as a lay person) as what seems like an increase in tissue density. I purposely did not tell my husband that I was having this procedure, because I wanted to see if he would notice on his own. (The scientific method demands at least one “blind” and completely objective participant!) I was advised to abstain from sex for a week after the procedure. Once the week was up, I resumed sexual activity–and yes, he noticed. He didn’t ask why, or what, or how–but he definitely noticed. I have not yet decided if I will have any further treatments, because I want to wait the full four weeks to see how things progress. It may not even be necessary. But either way, I can’t say enough about this procedure; it’s definitely worth it!!!

I have decided to try FemTouch after some medical exams. I decided to give it a try, aware that the only alternative would have been surgery. It was a very short procedure (only a few minutes total), comfortable and painless. Also after I had no disturbs and no impact on my daily life. After 8 weeks and 2 treatments I could appreciate the results: I could go back to running without leaking, and this is very important for a 45 year old woman!I think I’ll repeat this treatment in order to complete the cycle of 3 sessions and I recommend it to everybody in my situation or to whomever wants to get intimately young!

Lightsheer, The Truth – London, UK It really works! I was promised 85-95% reduction after 6-8 treatments. Six years later I have next to nothing. A few thin hairs that are really slow to grow. My results have been best where the hair was thicker. A few tips… When the treatment worked for me, my skin was always very red after, the thicker hairs jumped out of the skin, I could smell burning hair. I saw amazing results Evan after the first treatment. They fell out about 3 weeks later. I tried IPL before the Lightsheer & saw little to no difference. If you don’t see the above reactions after the first treatment, walk away. The only reason I can think it might not work for some people is that the person doing it does not have the settings right. I saw a nurse in London Covent garden uk who was really experienced. Best money ever spent!

Glendale, CA
Laser with LightSheer Diode Laser – Glendale, CA I finally decided to get laser hair removal done after months of reading other reviews on this site. There were 3 main factors that impacted my decision: (1) type of laser machine, (2) the pain/effectiveness level, (3) the facility. After researching, I found that the diode type laser is safer, more effective, and yields better results in the long run. I visit their website several times and read all about their lasers. IN particular, the LightSheer Duet is the best in the industry. Next, the pain. I have a very low threshold for pain. I can’t stand it, don’t want it, try to avoid painful treatments at all costs. But I read that LightSheer is virtually pain-free. Now the facility. If I’m going to trust someone with my bikini area, I wanted to make sure I’m not going to some quack! I actually checked online and found a place that was near my work in Glendale. Plus, it was near my favorite shopping area (acrosse from the Cost Plus Worldmarket, and the Habit Burger, yum-o). This place was amazing. A real find for a laser place in Glendale. The floors were so pretty and clean. The coffee was a nice complement, and the staff was so nice and professional. They are busy – so make sure you make an appointment. I walked-in and was at least able to get the price list and an appointment. After three sessions (which was spaced out between 4 weeks intervals) I did notice a huge difference. After all the fuse and research I made over the laser hair removal treatment, I totally forgot I even had hair there! It seemed really natural for hair not be “down-there” – I really didn’t even notice that my hair thinned and eventually fell-out. The once that did grow back were super fine – I just shaved it off and they really haven’t grown back yet. I really would recommend any woman to get laser hair removal on her bikini – ladies, there’s no need to be hairy down there! If you do it, just make sure you choose a good facility – I think it makes a huge difference to feel calm and comfortable. Well worth it – I’d do it again.

Laser Hair Removal Works Wonders – Armpits and Bikini Area (Lumenis LightSheer Diode Laser) I am extremely pleased with my laser hair removal experience. I am hairless (just about) on my armpits and my bikini area is miraculously transformed. Previously I was very self-conscious of my underarms because the dark hairs even when shaved, still left a shadow. I had to shave every day if I wanted to be sleeveless. But I always get these red bumps from ingrown hair follicles that are irritated. So I shaved infrequently. The bikini area was always a mess for me to deal with. I strongly believe the hair removal success was due to the practioner’s experience with the intensity of the laser AND my ethnicity. In my case, I had a R.N. who performed the treatments, and she is simply superb. She can tolerate the awful smell of burning hairs—I say that even though it’s all my hairs that got zapped. The nurse tells me that Asians’ hairs respond very well to these lasers (I’m Asian). I had no burns and no scarring. Of course, it was uncomfortable even with the numbing cream. But I do have a high pain tolerance level. A note on the numbing cream: I have this strange delayed reaction to it, so after the actual treatment session, I get all numbed up in the area where the cream was applied for a few hours. Then it wears off. I’m just so glad that I did my research and got a reputable office that was not too costly. I was afrad at first of the pain, but if you’ve been through childbirthings and know the temporary pain of plucking hairs off, it shouldn’t be a big deal. I put $600 so far on the treatments, but it will be a few hundred dollars more when I get my bikini area fully under control.

Lightsheer Diode Laser Worked Like a Charm on Bikini, Underarms, and Face – Orange County, CA . Laser hair removal treatment is the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. About two years ago I decided to stop waxing and try laser hair removal on my full bikini and underarms. I have brown hair and olive skin and was told that I could expect between a 10{aea2b696391fa39cb967d30fcd6aba4dbca06caf6246edcd5037966107a3d780}-20{aea2b696391fa39cb967d30fcd6aba4dbca06caf6246edcd5037966107a3d780} reduction with each treatment. It sounded reasonable so I decided to give it a go. After 4 treatments on my underarms and 6 on my bikini, I literally have a few thin hairs growing in. I am so excited to say the least! Waxing hurt like crazy and overall cost a lot more. My experience with Laser Hair Removal was virtually pain free and has really best the best thing ever! No more ingrown hairs from waxing or razor bumps. It has been life changing for me. After I saw the results from my bikini and underarms and knew that my skin tolerated the treatment well, I did my upper lip and the sides of my face. The results on my face have been great too. 🙂 Yay for laser!

I had my Resurfx performed in combination with an IPL, which I reviewed separately. My Resurfx was done immediately after my IPL, and took approximately 15 minutes, tops. I had already been given numbing cream prior to the IPL, so my face was still numb. Just as with the IPL, I had virtually no discomfort. I could feel it, but it truly did not hurt. After this was completed, an Rx cream was applied to help with redness, and then sunscreen was applied. One of the staff members actually also applied some make up for me, and then I went off to work. My skin was a bit warm, as expected, but only for a few hours. No one seemed aware that I had anything done, and I did not have any “down time”. I had some minor swelling the next day, but nothing that anyone else noticed. I wore my usual makeup on day 2. As expected, my skin felt a little rough for a few days, but it that appears to be going away. My skin looks great, and many of my fine lines, especially in the crow’s feet section, appear to be gone or greatly diminished. I am thrilled with the results and plan on having this treatment again when my budget permits. I am also looking into Ultherapy for my neck and eyelids.
